It has been quite a week at Site Strategics and Edge Media Studios: we’ve just received two awards for our podcasts!
In case you didn’t know, every Wednesday at 3 p.m. we air Edge of Indy LIVE on Facebook, broadcast from our studio. On Edge of Indy, we talk to businesses, marketers, and leaders who bring the community together via their companies, products, and events.
We’ve been doing this show for only six months and already have amassed great shows with amazing local talent and a strong subscriber following.
Last week, Indy PopCon held their annual convention at the Indiana Convention Center.
Indy PopCon has always been welcoming to local podcasters, as organizers set up a stage near the convention center entrance, allowing podcasters to reserve time slots and record shows in front of a live audience.
Edge of Indy broadcast a show there (Episode 25 with the Indy Film Fest and Fizziology) on the first day of the convention, which was a lot of fun.
New to Indy PopCon this year was its Podcast Awards for Indiana podcasters.
There were 14 different categories for podcasters to enter, and we were lucky enough to win Best Podcast in Tech & Business this year for Edge of Indy.
It certainly was a great honor to receive the award and be chosen by our podcasting peers here in Indianapolis.
We’ve been able to build great relationships with local businesses and personalities by producing Edge of Indy, and our state-of-the-art broadcasting studio and professional production quality helps us promote guests in a fun, engaging way. But the show that started our passion for podcasting five years ago is Edge of the Web. This show has attracted national and international listeners (70 percent of our audience is international in fact), as we interview some of the biggest names in the digital marketing industry.
We have always thought we have a pretty good show, but recognition from sources we respect, like Inc.com, Search Engine Journal, UpCity and others is incredibly validating.
This year we decided to enter Edge of the Web into the Content Marketing Awards, which are sponsored by Content Marketing World (one of the largest digital marketing conferences) and the Content Marketing Institute.
Some past winners of Best Podcast include Salesforce, Convince & Convert and Angie’s List, which are some great companies and shows.
We would have been honored to have been a nominee, but it was announced this week that Edge of the Web WON Best Podcast/Audio Series for 2017.
It truly is an honor to have won this award and share the same category with Moravia by Burns360, Continental Tire, Slack Technologies and Weber Shandwick.
We couldn’t be more proud of the shows we are producing every week here at Edge Media Studios and Site Strategics. We have some exciting plans for each show in the future and we hope you continue to watch and interact with our shows in the future! Catch our latest episode!
Edge of the Web airs LIVE on Facebook on Thursdays at 3 p.m. EDT.
